National Consultant (Communictions Officer) - EU OACPS Business Friendly Project in Liberia ITC - International Trade Centre Remote | Liberia National CON level Speaks English Application deadline: September 29, 2026 (10 days) Apply Summary by Impactpool The International Trade Centre is seeking a National Consultant (Communications Officer) for the EU OACPS Business Friendly Project in Liberia. The consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing a communications and visibility plan to enhance project outreach and document key activities related to the coffee sector. Key tasks include producing multimedia content, managing social media campaigns, and compiling reports on project achievements. The role requires strong communication skills and experience in media production, particularly in the context of agri-business. Candidate Requirements: Undergraduate degree in communication, social sciences, or related fields 2 years of experience in radio communication for agri-business projects Experience with EU-funded projects Knowledge of the coffee sector Fluency in English Result of Service The Consultant will submit a monthly report on the progress and completion of Outputs for the coffee value chain and institutions for validation, as follows: Output 1: Enhanced Project Visibility and communication Planning by 25 September 2026 • Develop and submit a communications and visibility content calendar covering planned programme activities and key engagement opportunities. • Produce and publish a minimum of 15 high-quality photographs and 5 short videos/reels documenting programme activities. • Develop and publish a minimum of 12 social media posts highlighting programme activities, key messages, and achievements. • Ensure all communications materials are aligned with ITC/UN visibility and branding requirements. Output 2: Project Documentation, Activity Coverage and Visibility by 31 October 2026 • Produce and publish a minimum of 15 social media posts covering programme activities and key milestones. • Develop at least 2 activity stories/feature articles highlighting programme interventions and results. • Document key programme activities through high-quality photographs and short video clips. • Maintain and organize a digital archive of photographs, videos, stories, and other communications materials produced during the reporting period. Output 3: Success Stories, Testimonials and Human-Interest Content by 30 November 2026 • Develop at least 5 detailed success stories highlighting programme results and impact. • Collect and document at least 5 beneficiary/stakeholder testimonials in written, audio, or video format. • Produce and publish a minimum of 12 social media posts highlighting success stories, testimonials, and programme results. • Produce at least 2 short-form videos/reels based on beneficiary and stakeholder stories. • Develop and disseminate 1 project newsletter highlighting key programme activities, achievements, partnerships, and beneficiary experiences. Output 4: Newsletter and Coffee Sector Awareness Campaign by 31 December 2026 • Develop, design, and disseminate 2 project newsletters highlighting programme activities, achievements, partnerships, and developments in Liberia's coffee sector. • Design and implement at least 1 thematic social media awareness campaign promoting coffee as a business opportunity, with a focus on youth, women, production, processing, consumption, and trade. • Produce and publish a minimum of 12 social media posts as part of the awareness campaign. • Develop at least 3 infographics or other visual information products to support programme visibility and awareness. Output 5: Project Documentary and Media Engagement by 31 January 2027 • Produce 1 short project documentary/impact video showcasing the achievements, experiences, partnerships, and contribution of the ACP Business-Friendly Coffee Programme to Liberia's coffee sector. • Develop and disseminate at least 3 media/press stories or media briefs highlighting key programme achievements and milestones. • Conduct and document at least 5 stakeholder/beneficiary interviews or testimonials for use in programme communications and media engagement. • Produce and publish a minimum of 12 social media posts promoting the documentary, media coverage, and key programme achievements. Output 6: Visibility Consolidation, Impact Highlights and Final Communications Report by 26 February 2027 • Prepare 1 final communications and visibility report covering the period from September 2026 to February 2027. • Develop at least 5 final impact/success stories showcasing the programme's major achievements and contribution to Liberia's coffee sector. • Develop and implement 1 final social media visibility campaign showcasing key programme achievements, results, partnerships, and impact. • Provide a consolidated digital archive of photographs, videos, newsletters, stories, testimonials, social media content, and media coverage produced during the contract period. • Provide a summary of communications and social media performance, including reach, engagement, content performance, and media visibility. • Provide recommendations for sustaining programme visibility and communications beyond the contract period. Work Location home-based in Liberia Expected duration ASAP to 28.02.27 Duties and Responsibilities The International Trade Centre (ITC) is a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization for trade-related technical cooperation in developing countries. The Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (OLAC), as a geographical section of the Division of Country Programmes (DCP), is responsible for defining the ITC strategy in the region, either for individual countries or at the sub-regional and regional levels.
