NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING Internal & External| Full Time Position Title: Factory Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor Posting Number: S_76 Posting Date: August 3, 2026 Reporting To: Superintendent Grade Level: S2 Application Deadline: August 15, 2026 Position Summary Firestone Liberia is seeking a Factory Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor responsible for overseeing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for equipment in the Block Rubber Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), and Quality Control Department. The incumbent will ensure maximum equipment availability to support efficient operations and oversee maintenance workshops, welding and fabrication shops to ensure organization, efficiency, and compliance with company standards. In addition, the role involves supervising the overhaul and repair of industrial equipment, including slab cutters, pelletizers, pre-breakers, bale presses, pumps, and related machinery Main Responsibilities: • Supervise mechanics performing maintenance and repair work on factory equipment. • Monitor spare parts inventory levels to ensure availability for factory operations. • Ensure spare parts are utilized appropriately and efficiently to minimize waste. • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical diagrams. • Monitor maintenance and repair activities to ensure quality workmanship and equipment • Ensure all repair and maintenance work is performed in compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. • Execute weekly maintenance activities within the assigned shift schedule. • Conduct training sessions for teammates using work instructions and safety modules. • Inspect equipment in the Quality Control Department, Machine Shop, Weighbridge, and Wastewater Treatment Plant, and take corrective action as required. • Prepare and submit accurate daily maintenance reports. • Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Mechanics/Mechanical Technology. • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience as an industrial mechanic. • Ability to communicate technical information effectively. • Good organizational, planning, and computer skills. Working Conditions Must be able to work under pressure; respond to emergency calls; works under sounds of heavy equipment such as rubber processing machines; wears job related clothing prescribed for the department including safety wears. Must be able to abide by all safety rules including no wood policy.
