About this role
The Finance, People & Administration Manager provides leadership across finance, accounting, administration, human resources, and office management. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure that J-Palm's financial systems, people systems, administrative processes, and internal controls support sustainable growth. You will be expected to think beyond bookkeeping and compliance. Your role is to continually improve how the organization operates-building systems that make people more effective, managers more accountable, decisions more data-driven, and the company stronger over time. Join us in building something that matters. At J-Palm Liberia, we are building more than a company-we are building an institution. We believe lasting organizations are built on three foundations: people, systems and stewardship. Strong financial performance is the result of healthy teams, disciplined execution, sound processes, and leaders who take ownership. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an exceptional Finance, People & Administration Manager to help strengthen these foundations and prepare the organization for its next stage of growth. This is not a traditional accounting position. We are looking for a builder-someone who understands that great financial performance begins long before the numbers are reported. It begins with capable people, clear systems, disciplined execution, strong controls, and a healthy organizational culture. Financial Stewardship - Lead the organization's accounting and financial management functions. - Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. - Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. - Strengthen internal financial controls and compliance. - Produce useful management reports and financial analysis to support decision-making. - Coordinate audits and statutory reporting requirements. - Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements. People & Culture Stewardship - Lead recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation. - Strengthen performance management systems. - Support managers in building high-performing teams. - Coordinate staff evaluations and professional development initiatives. - Ensure HR policies are consistently implemented. - Foster a healthy, respectful, accountable, and people-centered workplace culture. Administrative Stewardship - Oversee administrative operations across the organization. - Improve office systems, workflows, documentation, and record-keeping. - Ensure company assets, facilities, and administrative resources are properly managed. - Coordinate procurement and administrative support functions. - Maintain organized filing and documentation systems. Systems & Continuous Improvement - Continually improve organizational processes and internal systems. - Support the implementation and improvement of digital tools and ERP systems. - Develop policies, SOPs, and reporting structures that improve organizational effectiveness. - Use data to identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements. - Help build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. We are looking for someone who sees organizations as living systems. You understand that people, processes, technology, and financial performance are deeply connected. You enjoy bringing order to complexity, building systems that help others succeed, and creating environments where accountability and trust can flourish. You are equally comfortable reviewing financial reports, improving operational processes, coaching managers, strengthening HR systems, and solving organizational challenges. You are not motivated simply by maintaining the status quo-you are energized by building stronger systems than existed yesterday. Above all, you are known for your integrity. You tell the truth even when it is difficult. You take ownership of mistakes. You keep your word. You treat people with dignity while holding high standards, and you recognize that leadership is ultimately an act of stewardship. - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years' experience in middle or senior management. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management. - Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams. - Experience developing organizational systems and operational processes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and leadership abilities. - High level of integrity, professionalism, and personal accountability. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business software. - Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage. Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health coverage, annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
